The Ministry of Health in the United Arab Emirates has issued a new law stating that all visitors and residents entering the country must gain online approval to carry medication for personal use, prior to entering the country.
Visitors must fill out an online form and get approval for any medication they wish to carry with them into the country for personal use. If medication is not declared, it will be confiscated and visitors could face prosecution.
A free online form requires information such as passport number, doctor’s prescription and other details of the holiday.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has updated its advice for Brits intending to travel to Dubai, urging them to fill out the electronic form if they need to take medication with them.
