Finance Assistant

To assist and support the Financial Controller with day to day finances, from ledger work to reconciliations, assisting with payroll and assisting with month-end.

General Duties


• Invoicing
• Updating financial records
• Good Excel knowledge (vlookup and sumifs)
• Maintain the Purchase Ledger, including inputting and reviewing supplier transactions
• Processing payments
• Credit Card and petty cash transactions processing and reconciliation
• Assisting the Financial Controller with various tasks
• Dealing with enquires on the phone and face to face
• To assist in the year end audit including preparing supporting schedules
• Any other ad-hoc administration duties as and when required.

Skills required

What you will need to succeed in your Role as finance assistant

You will need current account experience within a similar industry. 

• Assist with ad-hoc projects as necessary, and undertake any other reasonable duties/responsibilities as requested by your manager in a professional and timely manner 
• Adhere to company policy and procedure at all times
• Work as part of a team and to communicate effectively with others
• Attend and contribute to office/team meetings as appropriate
• Ensure client and company confidentiality at all times
• Attend any necessary training courses to ensure professional and personal development in the role
• Contribute to the profitability of the Company by keeping expenses/overheads down
• Attend Client/Company Events where it is deemed appropriate.
